The woodworking special-shaped cutting tool imitation sharpening machine is a specialized grinding equipment built on the “master mold replication” logic, purpose-engineered for woodworking carving knives, forming knives, curved knives, and other irregular special-shaped cutting tools.
By accurately replicating the original blade contour, this machine restores and resharpens the cutting edge efficiently. Using an intact woodworking special-shaped cutting tool as the “master mold”, it achieves precise replication by securing both the master mold and the tool to be ground on the same reference plane with dedicated fixtures. This ensures the contour positions of the two are fully aligned, perfectly matching the original tool’s cutting trajectory—eliminating the need for complex parameter settings and reducing operator learning curves.
As a dedicated “replication tool,” the grinding wheel slides closely against the master mold’s contour via profiling components like guide rods and rollers, synchronously driving the wheel to grind the target tool with consistent accuracy.
Equipped with a variable speed motor (5000–10000r/min) and flexible pressure control, the grinding wheel adapts to the master mold’s curved trajectory for adaptive polishing. It fully restores the tool’s original surface finish, tooth profile, blade angle, and other irregular structures, delivering sharp, high-performance cutting edges that match the precision of new tools.
This machine is designed for profiling and sharpening profile knives (blanket knives) on their rear faces, as well as end mills.
